Multi-family office with clear focus
DRS Investment was founded by entrepreneur and investor Dr Andreas Spiegel and other entrepreneurial families in 2017 to make private direct investments.
Currently, five entrepreneurial families bundle their private equity activities through DRS Investment SE. All partners have gained extensive experience as entrepreneurs and private equity investors over the past decades.
The partners provide capital to finance the team, the infrastructure and the direct investments. They also hold operational roles in DRS Investment SE and are therefore responsible for the business.
DRS enables a selective group of HNWIs, entrepreneurs and family offices to invest as co-investors alongside the multi-family office.
The DRS investor circle sees itself as an exclusive network that exchanges information and ideas on the subject of private equity and direct investments. For this purpose, the “DRS Family Circle” was established.
Within the framework of the network events, current topics concerning the governance of direct investments are shared in addition to investment opportunities. The focus is on topics such as succession, corporate development, transaction structuring and much more.
DRS Fonds
Through DRS KVG GmbH, which will in future be registered by BaFin as an external AIF capital management company within the meaning of section 1 (16) in conjunction with section 17 (2) no. 1 of the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB). § DRS KVG GmbH, which will be registered by BaFin as an external AIF capital management company within the meaning of Section 1 (16) in conjunction with Section 17 (2) no. 1 of the German Investment Code (KAGB), DRS will offer a selected group of HNWIs, entrepreneurs and family offices the opportunity to invest in a fund parallel to DRS Investment SE. Corporations can acquire shares in the commercially oriented GmbH & KG as limited partners from € 500,000.
Direct Investments
In future, DRS will enable selected HNWIs, entrepreneurs and family offices to invest in individual portfolio companies of DRS Investment SE and the DRS Software Opportunity Fund. In doing so, shares of an SPV set up for the direct investments can be acquired, which is a shareholder of the portfolio company. Since the shares of the SPV can be freely sold, the direct investments represent an attractive alternative to the fund investment. The minimum investment amount for direct investments is € 250,000.
